Responsibilities: This position is an information technology professional, providing proficiency in programming and technical development of interoperability solutions. Assist to define and execute interoperability and connectivity strategy, including those strategies which promote physician and patient engagement and facilitate affiliation with other organizations. This role will have responsibility for developing and maintaining relationships across organizations and vendors that strengthen KHNs reputation as a leader in health information exchange, integration and interoperability. Responsible for developing, implementing, testing, maintaining, installing, and deploying interoperability solutions, middleware tools and related integrated technologies for determining best-fit data interchange, integration, and interoperability. Monitor health reform regulations, identify implications, perform gap analyses and work with appropriate resources to develop and refine strategies required to accommodate requirements Apply the KHN IS Framework management system to the execution of this role Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of experience in healthcare information technology and/or integration technologies Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with health information technologies Minimum of 2 years experience related to integration/interface programming, system design/analysis, and/or programming. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity in skills sets for interoperability include interface administration, web services, HL7, EDI, FTP, TCP/IP, API, FHIR etc. using an integration engine(s) and/or middleware tools for configuration, scripting and programming, MS SQL and SSIS. Regularity knowledge of programs and platforms for compliance impact of interoperability requirements. Experience in technical applications, scripting tools, report writing tools, form development tools, and web development tools. Familiarity with current developments in advanced healthcare information technologies. Project Leadership, Agile Scrum methodology experience.
