Manager, Asset Engineering

Electrada LLC, a newly-launched electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure provider, based in Cincinnati, Ohio is looking for a professionally certified electrical engineer to join our team in the role of Manager, Asset Engineering.

The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of a regional sustainable business committed to accelerating the transition to electric mobility in the Midwest by supporting Electrada’s deployments of EV charging infrastructure.

The Manager, Asset Engineering will be the lead technical team member for Electrada.

The main responsibilities of the role include: managing the site evaluations and asset implementation designs for EV charging infrastructure; providing recommendations for optimal installation of EV charging equipment; generating drawings and obtaining all necessary permits in support of project delivery.

The Manager, Asset Engineering will oversee our electrical contractor relationship and serve as the company’s technical expert on our technology partner’s systems.

Reporting to the COO, the Manager, Asset Engineering will work closely with all company staff, clients and partners.

Core Responsibilities: Evaluate electrical capacity at every site where Electrada deploys EV charging equipment and provide recommendations for optimal electrical infrastructure.

Enhance site evaluation methodology to reduce electrical equipment installation costs.

Generate electrical drawings and obtain approval for electrical permits.

Manage EV charging equipment installation and maintenance by electrical contractors.

Act as Electrada point of interface with permitting entities, utilities, etc.

Work closely with team members and liaise with site hosts on all aspects related to EV charging equipment installation.

Serve as technical expert in electrical systems for site host consultations and for Electrada technology partners.

Present oral or written operational performance reports and statements.

Requirements Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Professional Engineer’s license in OH (or another US jurisdiction).

5 years in electrical design, planning and construction services.

Background in telecommunications, utilities, construction and/or transportation industry preferred.

Personal Fit: Team player willing to roll-up their sleeves and help where needed.

Sense of humor.

Strong desire to work in a start-up environment.

Passion for electric mobility.

Strong interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders and clients.

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Technical Qualifications: Professional certification and experience in electrical engineering and controls.

A solid understanding of circuit theory, components, firmware, software and troubleshooting skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications as well as other computer-based engineering tools.

Experience with analysis visualization software packages.
