This position has the visibility of several high level officials in the Air Force (AETC Commander [Joint Base San Antonio] and ACC Commander [Langley AFB, VA]) base on the work being performed.

Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the SECRET level, or higher .

Must have a BA/BS degree and 12 years’ experience or MA/MS degree and 10 years’ experience.

T his position supports the Agile Combat Support (ACS) Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio as an Network/Computer Engineer, Senior.

Must possess knowledge of computer engineering and software virtualization in support of the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing computer networks.

Assist in the application of an understanding of systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardward and software intergration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer sytems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation.

Must have knowledge of the DoD Defense Information System Network (DISN) infrastructure as well as dedicated services such as point-to-point connectivity and Internet Protocol-based services and Virtual Private Networks.

Must have Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) Distributed Interactive Simulation and High Level Architecture standards knowledge to provide assistance in engineering efforts to solve complex technical issues affecting network standards.

Must have a general working knowledge of the Risk Mangement Framework and procedures required to achieve an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
