Operations Analyst II Pediatrics

Description

Position Summary & Essential Duties:

 

  1. Provide analytics to support Women and Children Services, and UHPS at large, to achieve success across the five domains of quality and patient safety, patient experience, clinician experience, clinical integration, and financial optimization. The analyst supports the success of Women and Children Services and other UHPS service lines as assigned.    

 

  1. Act as a liaison between multiple departments and institutes across UH enterprises, including, but not limited to, Finance, UH Care, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Quality Institute, and Central Billing Office, to develop innovative data and health information platforms.

 

  1. Support analytic initiatives, such as practice report creation across the five domains, strategic market evaluation, and business enhancement opportunities. 

 

  1. Synthesizes information from the five domains to provide insights and strategic opportunities to Women and Children and UHPS Leadership. 

 

  1. Assist with the creation of relevant dashboards and scorecards to support the work of the department. 

 

  1. Assist with the representation of data to stakeholders via creation of appropriate reports and presentations.  

 

  1. Maintain day to day contact with UH System collaborators, ensuring the smooth running of multiple projects across Women’s and Children’s and related UHPS initiatives. 

 

  1. Staff ad hoc project teams and committees by providing women and children data and research.

 

  1. Assure and maintain data integrity across multiple databases.

 

  1. Work across the UH system to promote women and children services and assist to optimize the success of UHPS
Qualifications

 

Experience & Knowledge:

 

·    Health care experience preferred

·    Excellent communicator with analytical, decision-making, organizational and creative problem-solving skills

·    3-5 years in increasingly responsible team and matrix environments

·    3 years experience with analytics, custom report generation and writing

·    Familiarity with EHRs, data visualizations tools (Power BI/Tableau), and SQL databases preferred

·    Able to manage multiple competing priorities

·    Demonstrated collaborative skills working across departmental lines (e.g. Finance)

·    Experience building and maintaining databases 

 

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:

 

·     Comfortable with matrix management style and working in ad hoc project teams

 

·     Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database and analytic software

 

·     Strong project management skills

 

·     Experience with statistical analysis and segmentation techniques

 Education:

 

BA/BS in social and behavioral sciences or statistics is required.

 

MA/MS in, social and behavioral sciences or statistics is preferred.
