Job DescriptionJob Summary: Cubic Global Defense, a contractor to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Beavercreek, OH, is seeking qualified Cybersecurity Engineer(s) with Cybersecurity and Information System Security backgrounds and expertise to assist in a wide range of security engineering tasks that enhance the security and mission of major information systems. The Cybersecurity Engineer will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the areas of Cybersecurity Analysis and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes for engineering programs throughout the lifecycle to ensure systems meet all DoD and USAF Cross Domain Solution (CDS) requirements, coordinating efforts with information system owners, common control providers, and information system security officers (ISSO). Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Generate and review RMF artifacts and documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), Configuration Management Plans (CM), Incident Response Plans (IR), Contingency Plan (CP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).Strong technical skills in Windows,Linux, and ESXi Systems Administration with the ability to troubleshoot related issuesSignificant hands-on experience in the setup and configuration of Windows servers and workstations, Windows Defender, antivirus software, system patching, and STIG applicationInformation System Security Officer / Information System Security Engineer experienceExperienced scanning systems utilizing tools such as ACAS/SCAP/Nessus/PVS/Coverity/HP Fortify and resolving/reporting vulnerabilitiesStrong understanding of all phases of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycleStrong familiarity with NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-53A and other related security control documentsExperience performing all phases of the RMF lifecycle, with an emphasis on Continuous MonitoringFamiliarity with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and DoD Cyber Exchange web portals for obtaining the latest SRG/STIG definitions and SCAP toolExperience navigating the Authority to Operate (ATO) process and successfully preparing all components of the ATO package towards achieving a certified information systemMotivated self-starter with the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary technical Cyber teamPreferred Job Duties: Experience obtaining ATOs for development networksFamiliar with Microsoft Office suite, especially VisioKnowledgeable in Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes and procedures with experience standing up and maintaining oneExperience in creating network topologies and data flow diagramsExperience developing and maintaining Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)Excellent communication skills and able to thrive in a team-centric environmentAbility to perform software/hardware audits independentlyUnderstanding of risk mitigation and how it pertains to business objectivesFamiliarity in working with Authorizing Officials (AO) and understanding of the role they play in the Certification, Authorization, and Assessment (CA&A) processVersed in EMSEC/TEMPEST rules and regulationsExperience writing scripts to perform desired duties (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc)Minimum Job Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizenMust hold a DoD Security clearance, Secret or higher5+ years experience with IA and RMFDoD 8570.01M IAT Level II Certification, including Security+, GSEC, or SSCPHighly desired CISSP, CASP CE, or CSSLP certificationEducation: Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Clearance: Department of Defense security clearance Secret or higher, with ability to be upgraded to TS/SCI clearance.The description provided above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties, responsibilities and requirements.
